Great Dome Art Fair 2013

The Great Dome Art Fair is in full swing in Buxton this weekend, 10am to 4.30pm Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st. It's also the last weekend of the Buxton Opera Festival and Fringe, so lots of other things going on.

We have a large stand with lots of new photos. Because of the large stand we also have far more prints than we usually bring to any other show, maybe approaching 600 in total. If you decide to come may be worth allowing a few minutes extra!

The show is the annual showcase for Peak District Artisans and over 60 members are here exhibiting in one of the most spectacular venues for any art and designer show, the Devonshire Dome in Buxton.

Here are some photos of the show.

Great Dome Art Fair 2011

After a year of waiting the Great Dome Art Fair is here. It opens at 7pm tonight. Then open 10am to 4.30pm over the weekend. Free entry, over 60 top quality artists exhibiting under the Peak District Artisans umbrella. The venue is spectacular too, the Buxton Dome, at one time the largest unsupported dome in Europe, still larger than St Pauls dome in London.

Great Dome Art Fair

We have been getting ready for the Great Dome Art Fair. It starts with the preview tomorrow evening 7pm to 9pm. Please do come along if you are able to.

The main show is open 10am to 4.30pm Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th. I am giving a talk on Saturday afternoon at 2pm on Lake Light, my new book. 29 pictures from the Lake District, many printed specially for this talk, and the story behind each picture. Lots of other new photos on show too as well as book offers, courses and posters.

Hope to see you there. Dave

Great Dome Art Fair

The Great Dome Art Fair is over for another year. It was great to see lots of old friends and meet so many new ones.

I tweaked my back this morning before show opening so was pretty much drugged up the whole day. Managed to get through the day though but felt spaced out the whole day.if I spoke to you hope I was intelligible!

I also owe you an apology if you came to see my lecture at 2pm on Saturday, as I stated on my web site. Unfortunately, I had the wrong time. My talk was actually at 11.30am. My mistake. Sorry. Hope you can catch me somewhere else.

Off to Edinburgh next weekend for a photo trip. Hope the weather is good.
